Job Overview

The Evening Custodial Technician will be responsible for executing a variety of cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols. You will work independently under the guidance of the Custodial Supervisor, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents to uphold sanitary conditions in restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures and replenishing supplies.
  2. Dust, clean, and polish various surfaces, including furniture and windows, ensuring a pristine appearance throughout the facility.
  3. Perform floor maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  4. Collect and dispose of waste, ensuring recycling protocols are followed for paper, plastic, and aluminum.
  5. Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums and floor scrubbers, to perform essential duties effectively.
  6. Communicate with facility personnel regarding maintenance and cleanliness issues, reporting any safety concerns to the Custodial Supervisor.

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong listening and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. You should be capable of working independently and managing your time effectively.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks related to facility upkeep. Safety equipment will be provided, and adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment. The ability to operate cleaning machinery and perform manual labor is required.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in custodial services is advantageous, along with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with others.
