Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks on facilities, buildings, and equipment within the Distribution Center and Annex. The incumbent must adhere to Rite Aid's brand and strategy, as well as our core values and service attributes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate manual battery pullers to change batteries in MHE equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on battery pullers, batteries, wash cabinets, and battery racks.
  • Build, repair, and paint various interior and exterior finishes.
  • Perform inspections on regulatory components of the distribution center.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the associate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of experience in maintenance, facility maintenance, or construction. The associate must also be able to read and interpret documents, speak effectively to customers, and type, prepare, copy, file, and keep records.

The associate must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. They must also be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. The associate must be able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The associate must be able to accomplish work with limited direction, determine and develop approach to solutions, and work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.

The associate must be able to provide resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications, or routines.

The associate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to communicate effectively with team members and management.
