Job Title: ER Nursing Supervisor

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ER Nursing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of nursing personnel in our ER department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing personnel in the ER department
  • Verify that patients' needs are met and evaluate unit nursing care and performance
  • Participate in planning work of assigned units and coordinate activities with other patient care units and related departments
  • Investigate and respond to complaints from patients, visitors, physicians, and staff
  • Ensure that care delivery system is adapted for populations served
  • Provide for the safe administration of all medications within the department
  • Collaborate with others to establish vision and values for patient care services
  • Build a supportive organizational structure to drive achievement of business and clinical goals
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing with the completion of a BSN required, MSN preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience as supervisor and acute care clinical skills
  • Current professional nurse license issued and/or recognized by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification
  • Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing
  • Additional languages preferred
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required
  • Current regulatory knowledge (CMS and Joint Commission) and current evidence-based practice knowledge
  • Strong experience with service excellence culture
