Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the President & CEO and team on financial matters while providing oversight and support to finance personnel.
  • Develop and recommend strategic financial directions and operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Implement and manage financial systems that adapt to the evolving needs of the organization, overseeing budgeting and accounting functions.
  • Lead the Finance Department, ensuring effective management and development of staff.
  • Contribute as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, participating in high-level decision-making.

Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited institution is required, demonstrating advanced knowledge in finance.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibilities, including leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and accounting.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technological skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of fund accounting and current standards applicable to non-profit organizations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
  • Familiarity with business plan development and cost analysis for various services is preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary, along with a willingness to travel as needed.
  • This position requires a background check, and continued employment is contingent upon a clear record.
  • Effective communication and discretion are essential for interactions both within and outside the organization.
