Role Overview

The Mainframe Software Development Specialist will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining mainframe applications and systems.

  • Key responsibilities include creating new functionalities, providing system maintenance, and developing both online and batch application programs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements sustainable solutions for Crewmembers utilizing the Natural programming language and Adabas database management system.
  • Facilitates the migration of Natural programs, subprograms, and subroutines across multiple libraries and objects.
  • Engages in daily scrum meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Contributes to the technical design processes for project teams.
  • Defines and proposes technical solutions to address customer challenges.
  • Adopts a continuous improvement approach within the team.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call support for Crew Scheduling operations during technical incidents.
  • Analyzes analytics and error logs to track critical interactions between crewmembers and mainframe applications.
  • Assists in identifying alternative solutions for business challenges as they arise.
  • Offers estimates for potential new functionalities based on project needs.
  • Prioritizes data security in all aspects of work.
