We are currently looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to join our team.
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will oversee, organize, design, and implement highway, roadway, and various Civil Engineering projects for a diverse clientele, including public agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engineering design and support for a range of transportation projects, including roadway reconstruction, bridge approaches, multi-use paths, stormwater management, traffic signals, and more.
- Create plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with current industry standards.
- Lead a design team through all phases of project development.
- Conduct drainage analysis and storm sewer sizing using relevant software.
- Develop comprehensive traffic management and pavement marking plans.
- Advise on Best Management Practices (BMPs) in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates utilizing industry-standard reporting tools.
- Generate design calculations and quantity assessments.
- Guide drafting technicians in producing working design plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Facilitate client communication and project updates.
- Assist in the creation of reports, specifications, design schedules, and studies.
- Contribute to proposal development and other formal communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation.
- Indiana Professional Engineer license is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in highway design, adhering to industry standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
- Experience in 3D modeling with Civil 3D is required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, as this role involves direct interaction with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
This position typically operates in an office setting, with some fieldwork required. Candidates may encounter varying weather conditions and will need to use personal protective equipment as necessary.
