This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of freight and small carrier invoices with our established billing standards.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct timely audits and analyses of vendor invoices, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and adheres to client billing protocols.
- Investigate discrepancies in pending invoices that may not align with client billing guidelines and propose solutions for resolution.
- Cross-reference invoices with purchase orders; research any inconsistencies and seek necessary approvals for payments.
- Review invoices for any modifications made post-shipment or delivery to the customer.
- Provide support and answers to branches, carriers, and employees regarding routine invoice auditing inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Purchasing, and Sales departments to resolve outstanding issues.
- Stay informed about product offerings, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities.
- Generate, analyze, and present reports on pending issues and expected resolution timelines as required by management.
- Assist colleagues with order-related tasks as necessary.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management.
- Associate's degree or a minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping, freight auditing, or accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Solid mathematical and analytical abilities, including cost analysis.
- Understanding of basic accounting processes, office management, and shipping/freight procedures.
- Proficient computer skills, including email, word processing, and internet navigation; typing speed of 50 words per minute is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; knows when to seek assistance.
- Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; strong negotiation skills and the capacity to present arguments professionally.
