Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and provide respiratory care to newborns in the NICU, Labor and Delivery, and other areas as needed.
  • Conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation, and maintain and manage equipment to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health and wellness in both adult and neonatal areas.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences or equivalent.
  • Previous working experience in neonatal respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including skills validation of competencies.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP, with active practice and maintenance of required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas.
