Job Title: Respiratory Therapist NICU

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing respiratory assessments, and implementing treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, including respiratory evaluations and monitoring
  • Implement respiratory care plans, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and medication administration
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
  • Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
  • Previous working experience in neonatal respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation
