Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate daily staffing and assignments, ensuring equitable distribution of work and adequate skill mix.
  2. Act as an expert and resource for all clinical areas, providing support and guidance as needed.
  3. Serve as a liaison to address patient safety and quality of care concerns, working collaboratively with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
  4. Deliver basic and advanced clinical care for adult and neonatal patients, performing tasks such as patient assessments, airway management, and invasive mechanical ventilation.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience in respiratory care
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
