Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking a skilled Toolroom CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 761.

This is a full-time position with a starting hourly wage of $32.36 and paid weekly on Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate various CNC mills, lathes, and cutter grinders with minimal assistance.
  • Determine work holding, tool selection, and grinding wheel selection.
  • Assist with mentoring others in machining and programming.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to model cutting and grinding paths and program machines accordingly.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job's initial set-up and outcome.
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure product meets design specifications.
  • Assume responsibility of a lead person when needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
  • Certificate or diploma in a machine tool or engineering discipline is an advantage.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a CNC programmer/operator required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
