This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and carpentry systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trades, with a focus on plumbing and carpentry, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and carpentry systems, including water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and building components such as appliances and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plumbing and carpentry systems, including backups and other malfunctions.
- Work from blueprints and mechanical diagrams to complete tasks and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operation of facilities.
- Valid Virginia Driver's License.
- Ability to read mechanical diagrams and work from blueprints.
- Working knowledge of the various maintenance/construction trades, with a focus on plumbing and carpentry.
- Ability to lift or move heavy objects.
- Ability to weld, solder, and braise.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Certification as a Journeyman level plumber.
