Job Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and carpentry systems in homes and administrative offices at the Facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical diagrams and blueprints, as well as experience working with various maintenance/construction trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and carpentry systems
  • Read and interpret mechanical diagrams and blueprints
  • Work with various maintenance/construction trades, including plumbing and carpentry
  • Lift or move heavy objects
  • Meet the physical demands of the job

Requirements:

  • Ability to read mechanical diagrams and work from blueprints
  • Working knowledge of various maintenance/construction trades, including plumbing and carpentry
  • Ability to lift or move heavy objects
  • Ability to weld, solder, and braise
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License

Additional Considerations:

  • Certification as a Journeyman level plumber
