Position: Financial Reporting Accountant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dynamic team at Jobot, specializing in the Real Estate sector. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounting, particularly those experienced with Yardi and Private Equity, as well as a history in Big 4 public accounting. The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting functions, prepare comprehensive financial statements, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and conduct financial performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and compliance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to both state and federal regulations.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insightful reports.
  • Offer financial guidance and support to management.
  • Engage in data analysis and modeling to assist company leadership.
  • Participate in year-end audits and budget preparations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Yardi, Real Estate, or Private Equity accounting.
  • Experience with Big 4 public accounting firms.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with GAAP principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
