The Construction Helper is a vital member of our team, responsible for assisting construction craft workers and electricians on various tasks. This role requires physical labor and attention to detail, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist construction craft workers and electricians with tasks such as carrying tools and materials, setting up equipment, and performing physical labor.
- Operate small equipment, such as skid steer loaders, and assist with tasks like cutting and threading steel pipe.
- Help the foreman with shooting grades, documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized job site.
- Ensure all signs, safety barricades, and devices are in place, and comply with all safety requirements.
- Travel to job sites (in-state) Monday through Friday, with per diem compensation and travel expenses paid by the company.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds independently, stand and walk for 90% of the workday, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of taking measurements, math, and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read a blueprint.
Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
