Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing all facets of store functionality, encompassing sales performance, customer engagement, personnel oversight, inventory management, and team development.

This role is pivotal in fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere for patrons, optimizing sales and profitability, and guiding a workforce to meet corporate objectives and key performance indicators.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to store personnel, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Implement strategies to enhance sales, boost customer traffic, and maximize profitability by analyzing sales metrics and pinpointing growth opportunities.
  • Ensure optimal product flow to maintain stock levels on the sales floor while minimizing backroom inventory.
  • Oversee and regulate store expenditures and budgets, including sales income, profit margins, and operational costs, to meet established goals.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including product displays, signage, and layout, to enrich the customer shopping experience and drive sales.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory management, loss prevention, safety, and security, taking corrective measures as necessary to address issues and mitigate risks.
  • Execute effective merchandising strategies, including product placement, pricing, promotions, and seasonal displays, to optimize sales and inventory turnover.
  • Encourage a positive workplace culture by promoting teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with district management to implement company initiatives, policies, and programs, providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Conduct regular store meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to communicate objectives, expectations, and updates, ensuring staff are informed and motivated.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, addressing escalated customer concerns, and managing challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by district management.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in retail management.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities, with a talent for building relationships and engaging effectively with customers and staff.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team to achieve targets.
  • Proven history of driving sales and meeting financial objectives, with a solid grasp of retail metrics, KPIs, and financial analysis.
  • Strong business insight and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate risks and make strategic choices to enhance store performance.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and software applications, including point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet store operational needs.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift.
  • Frequently lift items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Background check required.

Compensation:

$65,000 per year
