Job Title: Municipal Engineer/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Municipal Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at Remington & Vernick Engineers. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and managing a variety of infrastructure projects for municipalities and local school districts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the client manager for one or more municipalities or public agencies, serving as the single point of contact between the firm and the client.
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.
  • Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures using computer-assisted design tools.
  • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
  • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
  • Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.
  • Attend regularly scheduled public meetings in the capacity of Municipal Engineer or Land Use Board Engineer, preparing and presenting public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports, and developmental review projects.
  • Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications.
  • Support the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Pennsylvania PE License required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to make public presentations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions to present to co-workers and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design software.
  • Ability to work in groups as well as individually.
