Job Title: Service Technician

At Hobart Service, we are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and maintenance to our customers' commercial food equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial food equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is running efficiently
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Working independently with minimal supervision and meeting productivity and customer-oriented goals
Requirements:
  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as required
  • Ability to attend industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH

  • Lifting up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
  • Climbing up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools
Working Conditions:
  • Office facility and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses)
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions may occur
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time
