Job Overview

Position Summary

The Medical Records Collector at Molina Healthcare plays a crucial role in the HEDIS/Quality Improvement initiatives by engaging with healthcare providers to obtain necessary medical documentation. This role involves various outreach methods including phone calls, fax communications, mail correspondence, electronic medical record retrieval, and direct onsite collection for HEDIS projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the annual HEDIS audit and similar evaluations by coordinating outreach efforts, collecting, and uploading medical records into the designated internal database under the guidance of national and regional leadership.
  • Assist in project management by facilitating the identification and collection of medical records and relevant data in collaboration with other HEDIS team members.
  • Work alongside the Manager and Supervisors to coordinate and prepare for the medical record collection process, utilizing various outreach methods.
  • Engage in discussions with vendors regarding the medical record collection process.
  • Gather medical records and reports from healthcare provider offices and input data into the HEDIS application.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in medical record collection.
  • One year of experience in managed care settings.
  • Basic understanding of HEDIS and NCQA standards.

Licensure and Certification:

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary, along with reliable transportation for local travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience in HEDIS data collection is preferred.

Certification as a Medical Record Technician is advantageous.

Work Environment:

The working conditions are generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature. The role is primarily office-based, with minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Candidates should be able to sit for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Pay Range: $26.42 / HOURLY
