Village Care of King (Autumn) is seeking a skilled Medication Administration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this position is to administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of a licensed nurse within the scope of practice for medication aides. This requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by the attending physician
  • Monitor residents for signs of adverse reactions or other medication-related issues
  • Document all medication administration accurately and thoroughly
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work
  • Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires
  • Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions
  • Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
