We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to lead our Cocoa/Traded Commodities category. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base, and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage procurement for assigned categories globally, leading negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved.
- Develop and implement strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
- Develop and document in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers.
- Assist with make vs. buy decisions and conduct formal presentations.
- Coordinate and conduct supplier reviews.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or applicable field of study.
- 7+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience.
- 4+ years of project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
- Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.
- Supervision experience required.
- MBA or other equivalent Master's Degree.
- CPM or APICS certification.
