Job Overview

The Azure Cloud Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in translating business needs articulated by Azure Architects and stakeholders into actionable solutions within the Azure environment. This position involves the design, deployment, and management of Azure resources to ensure seamless operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Azure Infrastructure: Architect, implement, and oversee Azure cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage solutions, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Resource Deployment and Efficiency: Efficiently provision and manage resources to guarantee optimal performance while balancing cost considerations.
  • Security Oversight: Enforce security protocols and configure policies to safeguard data and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Performance Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Continuously monitor Azure services for performance, availability, and security, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Backup and Recovery Solutions: Establish robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to maintain data integrity and ensure business continuity.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create automation scripts and workflows utilizing PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools to enhance administrative efficiency.
  • Identity and Access Management: Oversee user identities, permissions, and access controls within Azure Active Directory.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams, including developers, system engineers, data engineers, and security experts, to meet business objectives and project goals. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding the status of Azure services.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Document configurations, processes, and best practices. Provide training and share insights with team members as necessary.
  • On-Premises Infrastructure Management:
    • Manage on-premises servers, storage, and networking equipment as required.
    • Ensure the optimal performance and reliability of physical servers.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated on Azure advancements, new features, and industry trends. Pursue ongoing skill enhancement through training and certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Azure certification, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Demonstrated experience in Azure cloud administration and management.
  • Strong grasp of networking principles and infrastructure concepts.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with tools like PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools is advantageous.
