United Way Miami is seeking a Financial Coach (Case Manager) to facilitate the financial coaching services of the United Way Center for Financial Stability and assist with integration into other United Way and community initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Excellent customer service skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting are essential. Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish or Creole is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct services, including training and personalized coaching, focused on enhancing financial capability, modifying financial behaviors, and achieving financial objectives.
  • Conduct and coordinate comprehensive assessments of individual and family clients.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of financial capability services and foster long-term coaching relationships.
  • Assist clients in recognizing and addressing current financial opportunities and challenges while providing a holistic view of overall financial stability to promote proactive financial management and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored financial stability plans, assisting with goal-setting, budgeting, savings, credit enhancement, debt management, utilization of financial services and products, tax preparation, benefit screening, and employment services.
  • Identify and refer clients to additional community resources and services as necessary to achieve their financial goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key providers of community resources and services, coordinating efforts to maximize client impact.
  • Review financial plans to identify needs and gaps.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress through follow-ups.
  • Provide warm referrals to community resources and services, ensuring appropriate follow-up with clients and/or community partners.
  • Ensure that clients' physical and electronic files are accurate, up-to-date, and secure.
  • Track and compile outcomes of services provided; prepare regular reports.
  • Continuously learn new skills and techniques to enhance service quality and impact.
  • Collaborate with leadership to adapt coaching methods and tools for improved client and program outcomes.
  • Engage in outreach and attend events to promote services, recruit clients, and build partnerships.
  • Advocate for the United Way Center for Financial Stability within the Miami-Dade community, local businesses, the social service sector, and other key groups.
  • Represent United Way at community meetings, conferences, and committees; participate in special events to support fundraising efforts.
  • All United Way staff are expected to be actively involved in the organization's crisis response efforts as needed.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is required, with major coursework in business, management, social services, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
