We are seeking an experienced Financial Record Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. The Financial Record Specialist will work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.

The Financial Record Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and balancing the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
  • Establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal requirement compliance
  • Entering and reconciling AP, AR, payroll, and other daily financial entries
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Staying updated with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Interpreting and applying accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Other duties as required

Requirements for the Financial Record Specialist position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years experience working in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining deadlines
  • Understanding of general accounting procedures
  • Advanced accounting and bookkeeping software experience including Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fully bilingual in English & Spanish OR English & Portuguese
