Job Title: Director of Brand Marketing

Yellowbird is seeking a highly experienced Director of Brand Marketing to drive revenue through brand awareness, acquisition, and retention. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns aligned with our brand strategy and ethos to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Research: Track customer and retail trends to assess and increase sales.
  • Set a Strong Foundation: Establish a solid understanding of the full customer experience and identify areas for improvement.
  • Brand Alignment: Maintain an exhaustive understanding of Yellowbird's products, brand essence, and sales channels to ensure all customer interactions align with our brand ethos.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to achieve company goals, including writing ad copy and scripts, sketching storyboards or ad mockups, and creative planning work.
  • Brand Strategy: Understand and tactically execute our current brand strategy to ensure consistency and resonance with our target audience.
  • Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with brand marketing, sales, finance, and production teams to ensure seamless communication and coherence to the Yellowbird promise.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly audit brand marketing and sales channels to identify areas for enhancement and implement necessary changes.
  • Maintaining Relationships With Company Stakeholders: Develop relationships with customers, internal teams, vendors, and other key people.
  • Manage The Marketing Budget: Manage the marketing budget and track KPIs.
  • Brand Positioning: Reinforce and reiterate the Yellowbird brand position in the market through creative execution and distribution of brand assets.
  • Training: Provide regular training sessions and support to internal and external team members to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
  • Process Improvement: Continually evaluate and refine brand asset production processes to optimize efficiency and the customer experience.
  • Stay Updated: Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in brand marketing, platforms, and distribution of brand assets to ensure Yellowbird is always a step ahead.
  • Team Leadership: Manage brand marketing teams, providing clear KPIs, helpful guidance, and priority setting.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in a Brand Marketing role at an FMCG company.
  • Proven portfolio of work, including copywriting and creative work.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in practical experience.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a keen set of ears for listening and comprehending.
  • ERP and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • 2+ years of experience in Shopify and Klaviyo or other robust email marketing platforms.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other departments, including Brand, Sales, Finance, Production, and Community Management.
  • Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable thriving in an office, production, and field event environment.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and priorities.
  • Willingness to accept new responsibilities and challenges, and demonstrate calmness under pressure.
