MPS is in search of a Field Applications Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned leader who is enthusiastic about nurturing emerging talent and collaborating with diverse teams to provide cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of aspiring Field Applications Engineers and interns, focusing on both technical skills and professional development.
  • Serve as a role model, guiding the team to initiate and implement innovative projects.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions to align MPS technology with evolving educational curricula.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of power management across various sectors including customer, industrial, data center/server, and telecommunications.
  • Advocate for MPS's extensive product portfolio to a broad range of customers.
  • Analyze customer roadmaps and technological needs to ensure alignment with future requirements.
  • Partner with business units to shape product roadmaps and technology investments.
  • Facilitate design wins in collaboration with Sales, while establishing and nurturing relationships both internally and externally.
  • Assess the competitive landscape and devise strategies to secure market success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, field applications engineering, or managing a sales or engineering team.
  • A strong passion for developing and mentoring talent in a coaching capacity.
  • Exceptional communication skills that foster a positive team environment.
  • Experience in design, engineering, or system architecture.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Location: San Jose, CA

Compensation is determined by market location and may vary based on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. The base salary range for this position in California is $150,000 - $170,000.
