Job Summary

The Principal Field Application Engineer will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly-focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market.

The successful candidate will work with customers from ground to executive-level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, lead and mentor a team of Field Application Engineers in support of revenue growth at all assigned accounts
  • Develop and present technical solutions to expand Fortune 1000 account penetration and loyalty
  • Work closely with the sales and extended teams to map end-user customer business, partner requirements and provide optimized technical solutions
  • Provide technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of solutions
  • Engage with C-level technical customers, gain and maintain trust
  • Highly technical problem solver with expertise in system architecture, hardware and software interaction
  • Manage and lead teams during investigation and resolution of problems in the field
  • Develop and review systems solutions, technical bid responses and presentations
  • Work cross-department to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and business sense required
  • Minimum 17 years of related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired
  • Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
  • Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills
  • Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plus
Salary Range

$171,000 - $199,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
