Clinical Faculty Position in Abdominal Imaging

About the Position:
The University of Miami Health System and Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position in the clinical educator track. The successful candidate will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows
- Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research
- Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations and perform some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel
- Be part of the on-call radiology schedule
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and abdominal imaging
- Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the division director or Chair
- Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of musculoskeletal radiology
- Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in: Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair
Requirements:
- Medical Degree
- Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Body Imaging Fellowship
- American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
- Florida Medical License or Eligible
- Completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology
- Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required
