Position Overview: The Estimator will be integral to our project planning and execution, concentrating on developing precise and competitive project estimates. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in comprehensive consultations with prospective clients, utilizing established sales methodologies to recommend and sell the most appropriate solutions.
  • Perform thorough cost analysis and prepare estimates for a variety of projects, including roofing replacement, siding replacement, painting, deck and traffic coatings, and structural restoration.
  • Collaborate with the project team to collect all necessary information for bidding, including specifications, drawings, and historical data.
  • Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to secure and negotiate pricing.
  • Oversee documentation and ensure meticulous record-keeping.
  • Assist in formulating project budgets and timelines.
  • Support project managers and liaisons in project planning and client consultations.
  • Ensure estimates are comprehensive, precise, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives and budgetary constraints.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as an estimator in the construction field, ideally with a focus on multi-family and commercial projects.
  • Experience in preparing and organizing submissions for construction consultants.
  • Strong grasp of construction processes, materials, and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Ability to foster client satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and take necessary actions to enhance the company's reputation and success.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach when addressing challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Degree in Construction Management or four years of estimating or project management experience.
