Job Title: Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney to join our team at Galveston County, TX.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to the county government, as well as assisting in the prosecution of criminal cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and representation to county officials and departments.
  • Assist in the prosecution of criminal cases, including researching and drafting legal documents, and representing the county in court.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues, and provide recommendations to county officials.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other county departments and agencies to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Law School and admission to the practice of law in the State of Texas.
  • At least two years of experience in the practice of law, case management, transactional, compliance law or closely related experience.
Working Conditions:

The work is typically performed in an office setting, with occasional travel to court and other county facilities.
