Job Overview

  • Medication Management: Possesses comprehensive knowledge of medications and their proper administration based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Patient Care: Conducts thorough patient assessments and reassessments, ensuring care is tailored to the patient's age and needs.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Works closely with therapy staff to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, documenting progress and status accurately.
  • Pain Management: Assists in evaluating and managing patient pain, educating patients and families on pain management techniques.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensures that all patient care activities are performed in a safe environment, minimizing the risk of medical errors.
  • Teaching and Learning: Develops and implements teaching plans based on identified patient and family learning needs, assessing the effectiveness of education provided.
  • Documentation: Maintains accurate and timely documentation that meets current standards and policies.
  • Equipment Management: Operates medical equipment safely and effectively, coordinating patient care as necessary.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in Louisiana.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
