Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team at Synagro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wastewater treatment plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and control process equipment to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance on all equipment throughout the plant, including welding, piping, and refurbishing.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions, documenting problems and resolutions as needed.
  • Monitor and control plant operations in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain records of plant operations, including hourly operating data and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Perform fire guard duty and confined space watch as required.
  • Participate in training programs and complete assignments as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an operator in wastewater, steam, or other process plant operations.
  • Massachusetts Grade 2 Municipal Wastewater License required.
  • Experience with HMI systems a plus.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts, including overtime, holidays, and on-call duty. The worker will be subject to environmental conditions, including noise, hazards, and vibration. The worker will also be required to work in close quarters, crawl spaces, and other areas that may cause claustrophobia.
