Plant Operations Manager

At Brightpath Associates LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our client partner's plant/facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the plant, including personnel and process safety, environmental compliance, O&M performance, and full P&L responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the facility maintains the highest standards for safety and environmental compliance performance.
- Ensure annual operating and P&L metrics are achieved.
- Take ownership for plant operations and performance.
- Proactively plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and plan and coordinate major capital repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Build a strong relationship with the District based on trust and open communication.
- Safety: Foster a culture that promotes a safe work environment where employees have zero tolerance for unsafe conditions or actions.
- Leadership: Take ownership, build a culture that empowers team members to make decisions and take ownership for their work.
- Operations & Maintenance: Ensure plant operates in compliance with all contractual and permit requirements.
- Full P&L responsibility: Instill a continuous improvement mindset with the team, build consensus, and lead lean initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to set and adjust priorities as needed to meet plant and corporate goals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve process-related problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively up and down the chain of command.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products, CMMS, and enterprise financial systems, FIIX and NetSuite a plus.
- Knowledge of biosolids processing as well as 503 regulations a plus.
- Safety Focus: Considers the safety of plant personnel first, leads continuous improvement of plant safety performance.
- Relationship Building: Earns trust and respect from the GLSD team, the District, and outside partners' personnel.
- Decision Making: Ability to detach, evaluate, and make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Priority Setting: Able to prioritize and execute tasks as necessary to achieve plant goals.
- Time Management: Uses time effectively and efficiently, concentrates efforts on more important priorities.
- Perseverance: Highly self-disciplined and pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish.
- Patience: Is tolerant with people and processes, follows established process.
- Written and Oral Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely.
- BS in Engineering, Chemical, or Mechanical preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- MA Grade II Municipal or higher wastewater operator's license.
- Possess or obtain within six months of hire OSHA 30 Certification.
- 3+ years relevant experience in a plant environment.
- 3+ years in a leadership position.
