At Sharp HealthCare, we are seeking a skilled RN Triage Primary Care Float Pool Per Diem Variable to join our team. As a RN Triage Primary Care Float Pool Per Diem Variable, you will be responsible for assessing and facilitating patient access, utilizing clinical experiences and expertise to provide quality care to the designated patient population.
Responsibilities:- Triages patients, collects pertinent information, recognizes the urgency of the patient's problem, and routes to physician as needed.
- Returns phone calls according to physician instruction, schedules patient appointments, and triages walk-in patients.
- Partners with staff and providers to triage urgent MySharp messages, uses well-developed triage and assessment skills to deliver all nursing care.
- Accurately documents patient care per protocol, participates in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
- Organizes and completes daily requirements and responsibilities, ensures prompt and efficient return of messages according to established policy, and troubleshoots and resolves problem calls.
- Responds to urgent and emergent situations in a calm and capable manner, utilizes good judgment and problem-solving ability, and ensures readiness of reports and information to maximize patient visit.
- Maintains appropriate supply levels, cost-conscious in usage, and participates in and prepares for site inspections and inventories.
- Assists in other departments as assigned to meet staffing needs, assists with training and education of new and existing staff, and consistently pro-active in team development and in problem-solving to meet department goals and support changes.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable safe and accurate administration techniques, ensures verification by licensed person and documentation of all medications administered, and ensures overall department compliance with requirements.
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - PREFERRED
- 1 Year RN experience in related clinical area - PREFERRED
- Triage experience - PREFERRED
- Leadership experience - PREFERRED
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population.
