Critical Care Float Pool Position - Pediatric ICU Experience Required

At Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric ICU Nurse to join our Critical Care Float Pool team. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children in our Pediatric ICU.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children in the Pediatric ICU
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and trachs
  • Perform various procedures, such as CVP and EKG monitoring
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations

Requirements:
  • Current CA RN license
  • 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU experience
  • Ability to float to other units, including ED
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:
  • 3x12 variable or straight night shifts
  • 4-5 weekend shifts on day shift and 5-6 shifts of Fri-Sat nights
  • 13 week contracts
  • Max 6 days RTO
