We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Promotion Coordinator to join our team at Rockingham County, NC. As a key member of our Public Health department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote healthy behaviors and prevent disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the local community action plan for the North Carolina Statewide Health Promotion Program.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions to promote physical activity, healthy eating, tobacco use prevention/cessation, and other health-related initiatives.
  • Convene community partners to address health-related issues and promote collaboration.
  • Work with the Rockingham County Healthy Carolinians Partnership to develop and implement health promotion strategies.
  • Supervise and coordinate with the Health Education Program Manager to ensure effective implementation of health promotion initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education and one year of experience in public health education or a related field.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of experience in public health education.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working with teens and community collaboration.
