Loan Operations Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Loan Operations Support Specialist to enhance our Loan Operations team. Under the guidance of the Loan Operations Manager, this role will focus on reviewing all loan entries into the core system to ensure precision. This includes generating and analyzing necessary reports to assist in the verification of data entered. The individual will also act as a secondary contact for investigating and resolving loan transaction discrepancies, as well as supporting the loan input specialist in maintaining our digital documentation system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct primary Quality Control assessments for all new loan entries, utilizing loan documents and various reports to confirm that all loans are accurately recorded in the core operating system, with all system activities properly documented.
- Assist the Loan Input Specialist in ensuring that all loan documentation is properly stored in our digital imaging system.
- Review daily loan maintenance reports for accuracy, ensuring timely review and appropriate documentation to justify any maintenance changes noted.
- Support the Escrow Specialist by opening and reviewing loan insurance declaration pages to verify adequate coverage for collateral securing the loan, including assistance with scanning these pages into the digital imaging system as necessary.
- Serve as a backup for the Loan Input Specialist, who is responsible for inputting all Mortgage, Consumer, and Commercial loan types, ensuring critical functions are maintained in their absence.
- Address miscellaneous customer service inquiries as part of a Loan Servicing email group.
- Provide support for other departmental responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in banking and/or lending operations, with a broad understanding of the lending process. Experience in loan servicing is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, maintain a positive and approachable demeanor, and foster respect and understanding through a mature and professional style.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Capacity to make complex decisions with minimal supervisory oversight.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and accept guidance positively, while also providing constructive guidance to others.
- Proficient working knowledge of computer systems, including loan processing software for tracking and maintaining loan information.
