Position Overview


We are currently seeking a Foundry Process Optimization Engineer to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities

Safety:

Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and regulations.

Engage in the development and evaluation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), setup instructions, hazard assessments for new foundry equipment and processes, and address any safety committee concerns.

Review and validate foundry operational instructions and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements to ensure safe practices.

Ensure compliance of external vendors with plant safety standards and verify that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for new and existing materials are reviewed, approved, and maintained.


Quality:
Facilitate 5S and Kaizen initiatives while actively involving employees in the continuous improvement journey.

Contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of standard processes, quality systems, capacity planning, and scheduling frameworks.


Assess current foundry processes and propose enhancements for methods, equipment, layouts, and materials aimed at cost reduction, quality improvement, and safety optimization.

Plan and streamline material flow through effective utilization of foundry equipment capacity, supplier capabilities, and material lead times, while leveraging external capacity as necessary.
