Foundry Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate engineering changes for assigned shops and implement them into production.
  • Perform capacity analyses and make recommendations for capital equipment upgrades.
  • Implement flow manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead production processes and personnel on various shifts to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with production planning, materials, and quality assurance departments to establish production priorities and plans.
  • Direct production operations to meet established priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and manufacturing engineering teams to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Meet or exceed goals for safety, labor efficiency, schedule attainment, scrap, rework, and other production-related metrics.
  • Initiate and implement plans to motivate and develop workers to achieve work goals in a team environment.
  • Supervise and assist in the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated machines, assembly equipment, and machining centers.
  • Obtain critically needed products from materials as directed and perform necessary operations to expedite requirements.
  • Implement lean techniques and principles to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving high-speed machining.
  • Outstanding PC and systems knowledge and skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of employees, customers, and outside professionals.
