Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Rhode Island Veteran's Home.

Salary

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and treatment to patients consistent with nursing care and special treatment plans.
  • Assist nurses with minor treatments and provide personal care to patients.
  • Lift and transfer patients safely and utilize correct body mechanics.
  • Make rounds and observe each patient's condition, reporting unusual occurrences to superiors.
  • Measure and record patients' vital signs, temperature, pulse, and respirations.
  • Collect and label specimens and transport/escort residents as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant registration from the Rhode Island Department of Health.
  • Sufficient education and training to ensure ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform routine nursing home tasks involved in the care of residents.
