As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for large and complex buildings, including dual redundant power distribution systems with 100% back-up generator power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design electrical systems for large and complex buildings, including dual redundant power distribution systems with 100% back-up generator power, supporting lighting, fire alarm, monitoring, and security systems.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural departments, and support Project and Construction Managers.
  • Technical Expertise: Work independently with minimal supervision to prepare written reports, electrical engineering construction documents, construction specifications, project budget cost, and review of contractor prepared equipment drawings and details.
  • Specific Experience: Possess experience in mission critical, Telecom or Data Center design, responding to code official reviews and comments, attending construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs, conducting field visits, final inspections, and preparing written punch lists.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with lighting simulation software (AGi32), power coordination and arc flash studies (SKM), energy code analysis, compliance review (ComCheck), and manufacturer equipment selection programs.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Assist and provide guidance to junior electrical engineering team members, and possess the ability to acquire PE licenses in other states as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • License: EIT certification required, PE License with NCEES council record desired.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
