Job Title: Product Development Chemist

The Flint Group is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for developing new ink and coating formulations to support the company's growth through innovation.

In this role, you will provide expertise in formulation, testing, scale-up, and commercialization of new products. You will lead projects focused on current product improvements, new product development, and serve as the primary liaison with manufacturing, sales, and technical services organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new ink and coating technologies according to the company strategy
  • Lead projects according to agreed-upon budget and timetables utilizing Phase Gate methodology and deliver results on time
  • Evaluate key technical information to recommend improvements in concepts, ideas, and solutions
  • Ensure that Customer, Sales, and Technical Service have all technical information needed to properly use new formulations

Requirements:

  • Experience in formulation and development of new products
  • Proven track record of developing and successfully commercializing new products on time
  • Hands-on experience with scaling up manufacturing of new products
  • Professional, reliable, ethical, responsive, and customer-focused

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, polymer science, chemical engineering, or relevant industry experience
  • Experience in formulating adhesive lamination, extrusion lamination, retort, and 2C inks and coatings for the Flexible Packaging market
  • Understanding of the flexographic and gravure printing process
