Position Overview:
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Maryview Medical Center, you will work on a PRN (as needed) basis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct medication management activities to ensure safe, rational, and cost-effective therapy while adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
2. Process medication orders and perform reviews for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy.
3. Prepare compounded and non-compounded products accurately, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
4. Supervise the pharmacy department's distributive functions to guarantee timely medication availability.
5. Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
6. Maintain accountability for the security of pharmacy inventory.
7. Identify and document adverse medication events, utilizing event reporting systems for analysis and prevention.
8. Provide medication education to enhance patient understanding and adherence.
9. Collaborate effectively with pharmacy team members, healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers.
10. Participate in departmental activities such as medication safety, quality assurance, and drug utilization reviews.

Licensing and Certification:
- Current pharmacist license in the practicing state (required)
- Valid state-issued ID (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred)
- Immunization certification (preferred)

Education:
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD (required)
- Advanced pharmacy degree (preferred)

Experience:
- Experience in pharmacy practice (required)
- One year of experience in pharmacy practice (preferred)

Training:
- Proficient use of all computer hardware and software (required)
