Pine Gate Renewables is seeking a dedicated problem solver to enhance our team in the development of extensive solar and storage initiatives across the United States.

This position necessitates comprehensive expertise and experience in (i) title and survey analysis (ii) resolving exceptions to title commitments and policies.

Key Responsibilities


Oversee all facets of title commitments, surveys, rectifying title defects, and the issuance of title policies for renewable energy project development and financing.

Collaborate with title insurers to order, assess, and negotiate title commitments, as well as the removal of title exceptions and title insurance policies.

Engage with surveyors to order and evaluate ALTA surveys and As-Built surveys.

Examine, identify, and negotiate documentation to resolve title exceptions noted in the title commitment.


Work alongside lenders and other financing entities to address due diligence inquiries and negotiate appropriate title policies from the title insurer.


Compile a summary of significant defects impacting surface rights or exceptions to policy coverage and devise an action plan to rectify such defects and exclusions.

Essential Qualifications


A minimum of three (3) years of experience with title commitments, surveys, and rectifying title defects identified in the title commitment.


Experience in supporting financial closings, including addressing lender comments, negotiating title policy endorsements and affirmative coverage, and coordinating final ALTA surveys.

A proactive approach to problem-solving.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including opposing counsel, lenders, and investors.

Meticulous attention to detail, especially in the review of site control, title exceptions, and ALTA surveys for precision.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Remote; occasional travel may be required.
