Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist to join our team at Bellavance Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting oversized loads of heavy equipment, machinery, and cargo using specialized lowbed trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate lowbed trucks and trailers adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Loading and unloading heavy equipment and machinery onto and off the lowbed trailer, ensuring proper weight distribution and load securement.
  • Use chains, straps, binders, and other securement devices to fasten the cargo securely to the trailer, preventing shifting during transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer, ensuring that all mechanical systems are in good working order.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any issues to the maintenance department.
  • Carry all necessary permits for transporting oversized or heavy cargo and ensure they are displayed as required by law.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks, accurately and on time.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatch, other drivers, and site personnel to coordinate pick-ups, deliveries, and any changes to the schedule.

Requirements:

  • Must have CDL Class A license.
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience with flatbed.
  • Has worked for two or fewer companies per year (consistent employment).
  • Interested in being home daily.
  • Less than two moving violations and/or less than one preventable accident in the last three years.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • We offer competitive pay, estimated at $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on location and experience.
