ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Field Safety Technician is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and their significance within the construction sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct inspections and gather data from job sites through Loss Prevention Observations (LPOs).
- Assist in the investigation of accidents/incidents and report findings to relevant parties.
- Support the training of new employees and other relevant classifications.
- Participate in all internal and external safety meetings as required.
- Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to emergency situations as necessary.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as required.
- Foster a collaborative environment among crews and between personnel or contractor teams, as well as with internal and external clients.
- Maintain a positive demeanor, particularly in challenging situations, and serve as a constructive influence within and outside the organization.
- Travel to various job sites as needed.
- Execute other job-related duties as directed by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in construction or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel, drive for extended periods, and stay overnight as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks according to the work schedule.
- Knowledge of California Government Code 4216 (USA North811), Title 8 (Cal/OSHA), or OSHA is preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field is required.

The pay range for the Field Safety Technician position is competitive and commensurate with experience, education, skills, and relevant knowledge.
