The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Neuromuscular Division.

The selected candidate will engage in the clinical management of neuromuscular patients across various UHealth facilities.

This position is designated as a non-tenure earning role at the rank of Assistant Professor within the clinical educator track in the Neuromuscular Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in UHealth outpatient environments.
  • Conduct electromyography (EMG) procedures at UHealth and Jackson Memorial Hospital, while enhancing the EMG service at UHealth Tower.
  • Mentor and train fellow physicians and staff members.
  • Prepare and present at educational conferences.
  • Develop a research program focused on Neuromuscular Disorders.
  • Collect data and results to support future clinical research grant applications.
  • Engage in educational and mentorship initiatives within the Neuromuscular Division and the Department of Neurology.
Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an MD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent). A fellowship in Neuromuscular Disorders is required, along with board certification in Neurology being highly recommended. Candidates must be eligible for a Florida Medical License and should have a robust clinical and research background in clinical or translational research related to Neuromuscular Disorders.
