We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, efficient, and team-based patient-focused care under the direction of a supervising physician.
- Manage patients in the office, hospital, ED, and/or perioperative setting, including performing therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in providing continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the supervising physician, manager, and other department members on performance improvement activities.
- May function as a mentor to less experienced Physician Assistants and provide a high level of clinical and operational expertise.
- Minimum three (3) years previous experience in the last five (5) years as a physician assistant.
- Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
- Physician Assistant License (California) required at hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Certification in specialty area, preferred.
