Program Overview
The VNS Health Nurse Residency Program is tailored to equip newly graduated RNs with practical clinical exposure and education to cultivate the forthcoming generation of proficient home care professionals. This comprehensive two-year, full-time, hybrid training initiative for RNs with limited or no clinical background integrates extensive classroom training delivered both in-person and online, a patient caseload managed under the guidance of experienced preceptors, and mentorship from our distinguished nursing educators. Compensation Package: $104, $130,268.00 Annual

In addition to our competitive base salary, we provide pay differentials based on educational qualifications, clinical expertise, certifications, and service in high-demand areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in classroom learning covering topics such as critical thinking, evidence-based best practices, care planning, and care evaluation
  • Shadow experienced RNs to gain field insights, followed by group debriefing sessions
  • Work in the community alongside a preceptor as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Provide tailored nursing and care management to patients in their homes or care facilities
  • Continuously assess changing patient needs and adapt care plans accordingly
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through participation in in-services, training, continued education, and selected journal readings
Qualifications Required
  • Recent RN licensure
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • No previous nursing experience necessary
  • Ability to navigate stairs to access patient residences
