About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OR Patient Care Tech to join our team at Trident Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses with delegated patient care tasks, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety.
  • Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, and other relevant data.
  • Assist patients with mobility, including turning, positioning, and ambulating, while maintaining proper body mechanics.
  • Collect and process specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring accuracy and timely transfer.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least one year of acute/hospital experience, with a preference for previous patient transporting and/or patient care experience in surgical services.
